They’ll never win
So sail these lonely skins
Back to the ground
Where they can see
That we’re all just dust…

Listen on:

At 13, Ania picked up an old guitar and discovered that songwriting was the perfect way to make sense of both her inner world and the life unfolding around her. Coming of age musically in the ’90s, her sound was shaped by the era’s defining voices - female singer-songwriters and folk-pop bands like Suzanne Vega, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, Sinead O’Connor, R.E.M., The Cranberries, and The Sundays, as well as timeless influences like Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake.

Though it didn’t become her professional path, songwriting stayed an undercurrent in her life, while worked for causes she believed in, exploring contemplative practices and cultivating a deep connection with nature and animals.

Her songs reflect that journey: an ongoing search for stillness in the storm, for truth beneath the surface, and for healing through emotional honesty. Themes of love, human connection, intergenerational trauma, and social justice and politics run through her work. After decades, she’s beginning to record and share the music that’s been with her all along. Besides songwriting, Ania works as a coach for fellow, purpose-driven humans and lives in Edinburgh, Scotland.
