Red Road

Walked across that red road so bare
He stretched his hand out to touch the air
Leans on his given stick but knows fine well
this horizon is his perfect level

Greatness lies in connections
Fairness find too many dead ends

This land so old and stolen by them
but his old frown smiles to irony’s plan
I found myself looking to him
he didn’t look back he just pointed ahead

You’ve been tested now lay your arms down
follow the Dreamtime
It’s true that time heals wounds but you hurt yourself now
These other dimensions are too vague to mention

Close your eyes loose your grip
Follow the path before it appears
The warmth in the air a trusted scent
Tracking events by looking right here
Greatness lies in connections
owned by earth not by the wars

You have rested now laid your arms down
The story begins again
It’s true time heals wounds, so don’t hurt yourself now
I fell to my knees
and prayed to the bees
Give me some honey

Walked across that red road so bare
The warmth just touched the air
